DIN EN ISO 50001 describes the requirements for a comprehensive energy management system. With its help, energy consumption is determined, high consumption is identified and the successive use of more energy-efficient systems and processes is supported.

DIN EN ISO 50001 is a voluntary international standard that can be easily integrated into the Integrated Management System (IMS). As with DIN EN ISO 14001, implementation of the standard documents the company's environmental commitment and responsible use of global resources.
