DIN 2303 is a purely national standard that defines the quality requirements for manufacturers and maintainers of defense-related products.

A manufacturer's qualification in accordance with DIN EN 2303 is a prerequisite for being allowed to carry out welding work for defense-related projects, e.g. by the German armed forces.
